• I like the idea a lot. A couple of people I know are doing something with design and artsy stuff, so I´ll ask around if someone is interested in putting together an animated logo.

  Also the idea of special wording on our platform is good to differenciate us from others, so I´ll think of that.

  I have some time this week and have worked in a translation community some time ago, so I´ll try to do translation and think of words that would fit into our concept.

• i like the bulp that opens. i think it fits perfectly to the idea of the homepage. because so many ppl think it a palm i would suggest to make a animated logo. so you first see a bulp, then the light goes on and after another second the blossom/bulp starts to open and butterflys fly out of it.
  then you have the bulp so everyon ecognizes it, you have the growing with the opening of the blossom and you have the butterfly as a simbol how the opened idea spreads in the world....

  I love the plant analogy. I thought of a visualization of the ideas status as small images/icons from a seed to a full grown flower/plant. The last stage of an idea would be the "photo of the plant". This photo represents the gathered information/knowledge of this idea, ready to be used by other people.

• since a lot of people see a palm tree instead of a burst light bulp in our logo, i think it would be nice to us analogies from that field... something like:

  add idea: to plant an idea (eine idee einpflanzen, pflanzen)
  contribute: to water an idea (gießen)
  ...
