• Hi folks,

  openideas isn't dead at all! The idea behind it is really something you should hustle on. Besides this development of the technical part of the platform got some pace lately. I'm part of a web development shop name Galaxy Cats located in Cologne and we're working on openideas right now. The goal is to get the Facebook Connect feature working and to make the code base fit for future development. We are in close contact with Michael and are really confident to get some things moving now.

  Having this said, don't give up on openideas yet, there is still much to come ;-)

• I also love the way you can add or edit stuff with Google Wave.

  Maybe we can implement that in a way that the idea owner could place some "markers" that allow user comments at that point. So the discussion will be in the relevant place for each idea. (you can expand/contract the whole discussion with detail settings)

  What do you think about this?

  it does not do a lot right now - but you can add it for later...

• Hi Michael and Cristian,

  i am new here on openIdeas and therefore i hope that my idea fits somehow into your business plan. as the keyword is "open" this platform should be opened to e.g. facebook. why not providing a facebook app where everyone of your friends can see your ideas growing and is perhaps more motivated to contribute as (s)he is able to check fb and openIdeas at the same time?

• This whole project seems to me like a bottle of good beer. from the outside you know its probably the best beer ever, but you dont know for sure. Everyone is just full of expectation.

  Same as you Cristian I also know someone who had a similar idea and through openideas he wants to bring it to realization. The world waited for this and i am looking forword to the official launch!!

  It might not be as dead as I thought it was. As I am a student myself, I know that time can be very little for side-projects when in school. But I can see that this site has a lot of potential.

  I have given many thoughts (although none of them materialized into something) to what a real collaborating platform would look like even before I discovered openideas.eu
  If you are interested in my notes, please let me know and I'll post them here.

  I am a Multimedia Design & Communication student in Denmark and this has a great deal of interest to me, apart from my personal belief that this world needs to put many heads and hands together to really blossom in terms of technology and design.

  We are working in the background on improving the software - there is a lack of time right now, as i have to finish my master thesis until the end of January.

• Make a mail system so everybody gets a weekly digest of the activity on openideas.eu.

  Everybody who started this community should stay active as moderators and giving feedback to ideas and contributions.
